In my humble opinion this is one of the truest storybook adaptations ever created for Pinocchio. The artwork has the same subtle touch as the film. Look at the beautiful rendering effects in the scene with the Blue Fairy. The great acting in the sequence where Gepetto carries off his assumed mortally wounded child. Amazing artwork and heartfelt storytelling.Scanned from a well-worn copy.

ReplyDeleteHands down, the greatest Disney movie of all time. I particularly enjoy the spread of Pinocchio sitting in the snow and how the foot steps trail off into the next page. Thanks for scanning these!
